New Ventures Begin at Field-to-Fork Farm

There are not too many people I know who can pull off the rebellion of ripped jeans paired with the sophistication of pearls. Comfortable in her own skin with her 'chabby chic' style and calming demeanor Jen Bukowski; self-named the CLO (Chief Lifestyle Officer) as she, along with Jenny, Shane and Stephan open the doors with new ventures at Field-to-Fork Farm in Chester, NH.

Jenny brings lively experience of event planning to the mix as she with anxiously excited trepidation takes on the role of running 'Farm Chic Boutique', being Jen's assistant in the numerous possibilities this new venture brings. Yesterday potatoes were planted as Stephan and Shane started growing produce. And so I feel it comes full circle, for Jen as a yoga teacher, letting go of fear, embracing the new. This talented foursome brings an eclectic pool of intent and realistic goals launching into this awesome venture together.

As I walked through brush, a storage barn, un-manicured vegetable beds and an overgrown green house, Jen walked me through her plans of a new location for Just Be Yoga , for opening of the barn for the Farm Chic Boutique and as vegetables turn into produce there are mentions of a Farmers market. A flat area fit for a tent spawns ideas for small events; beautiful views for a romantic wedding location, picnic and a movie among ideas eager to be reality as a business plan evolves. A courtyard sits beneath overgrowth, but yet visions of a quaint tranquil spot for coffee materializes; a beautiful space to sit, reflect and people watch.

I had so much fun yesterday hearing the future happening at Field-to-Fork Farm. Thank you to Jen, Jenny, Shane & Stephan for allowing me to share your vision. A lot of work lies ahead; But as Beverly Sills once said, “There are no shortcuts to any place worth going.” Good luck on your new path together. I cannot wait to come back soon and see your dreams become reality, taste the wares, practice yoga in a new space and see the benefits it will add to our community.

What a beautiful article. It will be an exciting time for the quaint town of Chester. I am sure that Jen and her crew will do a wonderful job of bringing community to the farm and farm to the community. Best wishes to the Field to Fork Farm! Kathy M
