On the cusp of 2020, Kelsey and Josh turned the clocks back a hundred years to the roaring 20's as their wedding was remanence of the era; ladies in flapper dresses, feathers, romance and elegance, as the Rivermill at Dover Landing transformed into a speakeasy. Gold, glitz and glamour filled this celebration with every detail having an Art Deco feel of that time period.
Kelsey radiated elegance and beauty in her Martina Liana figure-hugging lace-overlaid gown sporting a full train and crystal encrusted veil. Holding a bouquet of cream roses and walking on rose petals tosses by her flower girl, walking solo down the candle lit aisle, being met by her groom half way and walking in unison to say "I do". A air punch on the way back down the aisle set the party mood!
The Rivermill was full of intricate themed details; quotes from The Great Gatsby, Art Deco style font, beautiful feather up-lit centerpieces, textured gold leaf on the cake accented with a floral fondant creation made for a stunning cake. Guests were invitied to have their caricature done by a live artist, in a unquie guest book idea, pulling all the pictures and well wishes together for the bride and groom keep.
Table numbers could be found on bottles, and place settings identified with your name, all carved from wood and found on the charger. Signature drinks of Josh Chardonnay or French 75, a champagne based cocktail. The sweetheart table was surrounded by candles (constantly being blown out by their son), in keeping with the romantic ambiance. Barefoot in her wedding dress Kelsey danced with her son, while Josh danced with Kelsey's daughter in celebration of their family.
As the bride wished for snow on her wedding day, so heavy rain turned into a winter wonderland as the new year rang in. Heading outside with a fur shawl, whichdraped off Kelsey's shoulders in pure 20's style. Glasses of champagne were raised in celebration as the razzle-dazzle night came to an end, but that marked the beginning of a life together for the happy couple.
Congratulations to you both! It was an honor and pleasure to be a part of your big day (and to photograph those shoes!!!) ~ Thank you!

"I love her and that's the beginning and end of everything" ~ F. Scott Fitzgerald.
“He looked at her the way all women want to be looked at by a man.”
