Katie and Sam - Durham, NH Wedding

January 13, 2019  •  3 Comments

When the bride's underside of her dress is adorned with a heart created from her late father's flannel shirt and lace from her mother's wedding dress, you know this is a family full of love and closeness.

A 'comfy cozy' seasonal winter theme spread throughout the day. Wearing red flannel shirts, Katie and her attendants prepared for the nuptuels. The bridal gown was classic, lace, pearl and crystal encrusted bodice with a simple satin full skirt and train. The girls wore an eclectic array of cranberry colored dresses, with seasonal bouquets of cranberry and white roses, holiday evergreen, berries and pine cones. Complimented by the groomsmen in holiday green ties. Red and green tartan pulled the new found family together, Sam in his tartan tie, the same fabric flowed in ribbon from Katie's bouquet, with a image of her father tucked in tight around the stems. Not forgeting their puppy Beau who sported a tartan bow tie for the big day.

Wrapped in hand-knit shawl and mittens, knitted by the groom's mother, along with duck-boots the girls fought the New England winter weather. Guests were enveloped in the warmth and glow of the initimate venue and vows were exchanged in front of the warm hearth at the Three Chimneys Inn.  Nothing says 'comfy and cozy more than warm pie for dessert. In keeping with seasonal celebration of unity, the newlyweds 'cut the pie' in lieu of cake.

Guests were requested to "Relish the day" and thanked in turn with homemade sweet tomato relish, with a label telling of their table number.

This day was so perfectly put together and straight from the heart, it was honor to be a part of; full of love, sentiment and high fives!!!!! (a sporting crowd for sure)! Congratulations to you both!
